Mars Exploration Rovers, 2003

Mars Exploration Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity: launched June 10 and July 7, 2003 (respectively).  These two rovers landed in 2004 and began exploring the Red Planet. Their primary objective was to find evidence of water in Martian rocks and/or soil.
